Steps to Success
Everyday we are flooded with images and stories of success. Some have success in business or politics. Some achieve top fitness and success with their health. Many experience financial success. Would you benefit from increasing the success you experience in life?
If you would like to increase your success, you have probably wondered, “What do they know that I don’t?”
You are asking precisely the right question!
Step 1: Identify what you know about success, and what you still need to learn.
A politician and writer, Disreali once said, “The most successful people in life are generally those who have the best information.” So our intuition and history point to the key to success: information.
Teachers and schools share information everyday. We learn to read, write and do math. We listen and remember and we pass. Do you want more for yourself though than to simply pass? Would you like to learn how to achieve success in your life? Some would say yes or no, and not give it much more thought.
But, you wonder, “Who can teach me how to succeed in my own life?”
Again, you are asking the right question!
Step 2: Find someone who is successful.
Let’s step back for a moment. Someone decides to learn how to change the oil in her car. She doesn’t go to a gardener or vintner for answers. She goes to a mechanic. The simple lesson here is to find the proper mentors.
To learn about business, learn from someone who grew their own empire. To learn fitness and health, learn from an award winning athlete. To learn wealth creation, learn from those who are wealthy.

There still could be doubt or fear. Is it your own? Is it another person’s?
Step 3: Recognize negative thinking.
This does not mean you have to accept it, or that you have to surrender to it. Positives and negatives make up our universe. Remember the image of a person with an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other? Actively choose how you will respond.
Negative thoughts are like roadblocks. If you were going somewhere important, you would find a way around them, all of them!
